What is VenaSeal?
The VenaSeal™ closure system treats symptomatic venous reflux disease in the lower extremity superficial venous system, often the underlying cause of painful varicose veins. This procedure involves the placement of a small amount of VenaSeal vein adhesive/glue into the vein through a small catheter. Once the affected vein is closed, blood is immediately re-routed through other healthy veins in the leg.
- Simple, outpatient procedure.
- No tumescent (local) anesthesia is required.
- Compression stockings not needed after the procedure.
