Foot surgeon, podiatrist
Dr. Ashleigh E. Korves is originally from Annapolis, Maryland, where she practiced for seven years after completing a comprehensive foot and ankle surgical residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. She completed her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in chemistry from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Dr. Korves’ specialties include conservative and surgical treatment of common foot and ankle problems such as:
- hammertoes & flat feet,
- foot & ankle trauma,
- sports injuries,
- wound care & limb salvage, and
- pediatric conditions.
She believes in providing comprehensive foot and ankle care in a friendly environment and encourages open communication with her patients.
Dr. Korves is board certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is an active member of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, serving on the board as their current secretary. She is also an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. In addition, Dr. Korves is the former treasurer of the Maryland Podiatric Medical Association and former Assistant Chief of Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland.
A former ballet dancer and NCAA lacrosse player, Dr. Korves is now an avid runner. She is also very involved in the animal rescue community. She currently lives in Santa Rosa with her husband, two rescue cats, and their rescue chihuahua.
