In 2019, Jeffrey Sugarman, MD, PhD, earned the distinction of being named Full Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Family Medicine at UC San Francisco (UCSF). Since 2002, Dr. Sugarman has authored or co-authored 32 peer-reviewed publications, 14 reviews and invited articles, 17 letters, book reviews and editorials, and six book chapters.
Dr. Sugarman received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He was awarded a National Institutes of Health Medical Scientist Training grant, and obtained a PhD in biomedical science and an MD from the University of California, San Diego. He then completed his training in dermatology, which was followed by a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at UCSF.
From 2002 through 2019, Dr. Sugarman was Assistant Clinical Professor in the Departments of Dermatology and Family and Community Medicine at UCSF. Board certified in both pediatrics and dermatology, Dr. Sugarman’s many published articles range on topics including cancer research and childhood eczema. He has lectured extensively on various topics in dermatology at the local, regional, national and international levels. He is an active member of the Sonoma County Medical Association and serves on its editorial board. His practice is evenly divided between pediatric dermatology and adult dermatology, and he performs skin cancer surgery one day a week.
Monday through Thursday: 8:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 9 to 2 p.m.
