Dr. Alanna Wargula, DPM and Dr. Adelina Stateva, DPM Join NCMA’s Fountaingrove Podiatry Team

Northern California Medical Associates’   NCMA Fountaingrove Podiatry is delighted to welcome Alanna Wargula, DPM and Adelina Stateva, DPM. NCMA’s Podiatric Medicine provides conservative and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle as well as preventative diabetic foot care.

Dr. Adelina Stateva (pronounced Sta-teh-vuh) was born and raised in Bulgaria and she moved to the United States when she was 15 years old. Upon completion of high school in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Stateva attended Connecticut College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry. In 2002 she graduated from temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Shortly thereafter she began residency at Palo Alto, VA where she also taught at Stanford University and continued residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. She moved to California in 2005 to begin her practice in Santa Rosa.

Dr. Stateva and her husband, who is a professional chef at Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa, dedicate time to go on mission trips working with young children from all walks of life. They also enjoy traveling and spending time in the outdoors.

Dr. Alanna L. Wargula (pronounced Wahrgooluh) is a native Californian and was born and raised in Sonoma and Lake Counties where she graduated with honors from Clear Lake High. She attended Podiatry School in Miami, Florida and completed a 3-year residency program in Foot and Ankle surgery in Orange County, California. She began her practice in 2008 alongside her friend and mentor Dr. James Hagan. She has been involved in many research studies and has published in orthopedic, podiatric and wound journals. She is involved in multiple community projects including Habitat for Humanity, Russian River Cleanup and Rebuilding Together. She resides in Santa Rosa with her husband and daughter while most of her family continues to reside in Lake and Sonoma Counties.

NCMA’s Podiatric Medicine emphasizes the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the lower limb and focuses on the use of scientific principles for the treatment of adults, children, diabetics and sports enthusiasts. Both Dr. Wargula and Dr. Stateva will be working at 3536 Mendocino Ave., Suite 300 as well as in the Lakeport office located at 175 Park Street. They are currently accepting new patients.
