Santa Rosa, CA – On July 25, 2011, NCMA proudly announced the HeartWorks 20 Year Anniversary Open House Celebration. For the past 15 years, Northern California Center for Well-Being and Northern California Medical Associates have worked together to provide cardiac rehabilitation services to Sonoma County. NCMA and the Northern California Center for Well-Being recognized the indispensible, on-going support of Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa in making the HeartWorks program possible. The event boasted a variety of attendees including: NCMA physicians and staff, Northern California Center for Well-Being staff and board members, community partners such as the American Heart Association, as well as past and current HeartWorks participants.
HeartWorks is one of only two Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs North of the Golden Gate that provides a heart monitored guided exercise Phase II program with diet plans developed for individual patients and a Phase III supervised exercise program. Physicians, nurses and cardiac exercise specialists closely supervise each aspect of a patient’s rehabilitation activity.
